Games befitting us?

NO WAY

Honestly in my opinion games are never going to be befitting. Actually the more advanced graphics become and gaming systems evolve more people spend MORE time on it. The old games are boring because they are ugly pixalated images and they are very repetitive. Less time was spent on gaming systems back then. Today with advanced technology and more challenging games kids are spending more and more time on them. Parents complained back them so what about now? Games are not befitting us in any way it's actually very harming to some people. Some people take games too seriously and bring the conflict into our world. Even the Wii fit is not beneficial. They talk about loosing weight in your home but really most of the time it does not work. Actual runs in the neighborhood or daily workout in the gym work. Games are merely getting fancier and more fun but they did not evolve from being beneficial.

  1. Games are not benefiting? I THINK NOT! They may be detrimental at times, but you could at least admit they do more than entertain our boring mediocre lives. The programming used in advanced gaming can help people develop programs for more serious things. Especially for the motion detection in the Wii. Some people that want to lose weight are too lazy to run or go to the gym, so why not take a small step and play the wii. It's fun and it squeezes in a small amount of exercise. So I conclude that I do agree games can conflict at times, but they are not entirely negative and you should REALIZE that too!

  2. I politely disagree with your position that video games are not beneficial to us. We are talking about the progress that video games brought to the world, like Dance Dance Revolution and other similar games.

It's only the beginning of a new era of video games, so I think that they have time to be more effective rather than small workouts here or there.

  3. Says you and your Maplestory...I kid.
    Seriously, though? **benefiting.

I agree that games are always going to be little more than entertainment, people are only going to spend more time on them and current games don't work. People can just exercise in real life. However, video games do not directly cause "harm" or "conflict".

I assure you that games are changing and old video games are not boring. :)
